Another year, another successful HSR Conference. Over 1000 HSRs in the city and regions got together today to share skills on keeping us all safe at work.
Over 50 RTBU HSRs participated, a powerful showing proportionate to the size of our industry.
This year’s conference focused on OHS skills for active HSRs, reinforcing the powers of HSRs in the workplace.
Recently the RTBU had a landmark win, setting a new benchmark for HSRs across Victoria when a decision was handed down expressly articulating the right to information in the workplace.
This has long been fought against by employers all too often citing issues of privacy to avoid their obligations to supporting a safe workplace.
